‘Silk’ Vidya Balan becomes case study

After setting the screen on fire with her sexy siren appeal in Milan Luthria’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ (2011), Vidya Balan bagged many awards along with praises from all sides.
Well the ‘Silk’ character has just got another feather in Vidya’s cap.
As per latest reports, the character of the film has been made into a case study for the lecturers of the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai.
Though the character was quite sensuous, every one was amazed how a simple sari-clad girl managed to carry off a role of ‘Silk’. As per the insider of the institute, this is the main reason that the topic was taken for discussion.
TISS sociologists undertake projects that help them focus on a range of aspects that influence policy as well as social practices. They also agreed with the concept of the characters observation in the movie ‘The Dirty Picture’.
For the said flick, the actress pocketed the National honor for the best actress in the year 2012 and she is no less energized and thrilled to learn of this new progress. The actress was sure that her presentation would push the blockades of aptness in Indian films.
“Milan was very clear that we were to feel high opinion for her and admiration only arrives from being accepting and non-judgmental,” said the actress.
The sexy siren is bigheaded to know that her recital is being talked over by academicians.
“The film will always be amongst the movies I’m tremendously proud of. I found it energizing to play Silk, a female who was unapologetic about her sexuality and the choices she makes,” said the actress.
The movie also featured Tusshar Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi, and Naseeruddin Shah.
