Not often do the three living legends of Bollywood Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan come under one roof. But, yes this happened at the Filmfare cover shoot to commemorate the 100 years of Indian cinema.
The shooting took place at the ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ residence in the city of Mumbai. Big B, who had a bash time at the shoot, posted some of the pictures on his Tumblr account especially while SRK requested him to sign his poster.
SRK made a humble request to Amitabh to sign on original poster of Don, which Amitabh also humbly accepted.
According to Amitabh, after the shooting, SRK came up to him and requested him to sign on an original poster of his super hit movie, Don.
According to Amitabh, posters of old movies are rare crafts. He is happy that there are still people who like to collect these memorable antiques. Posterity is a very vital part of cinema. Present is incomplete without past.
The cover is worth waiting as you do not often get to see the Bollywood legends together.
Intriguing fact: Amitabh made his debut from the movie ‘Saat Hindustani’. The theme song was shot on Madh Island in Mumbai.
Big B wrote, “We lived and travelled in the film just as the 7 would have done as liberation fighters – in the jungles of Goa, in Govt Circuit houses, sleeping on the floor in one room with the rest of the crew, eating together, living together etc .. Very socialistic!!”
Amitabh also got his 1st National Award for this film as the most promising debutant.
