Story:

Navdeep, Son of a mafia leader Mukesh Rushi, falls in love with Kajal. He asks NTR, a contract killer and mafia guy to keep a look on her. Kajal decides lo leave Spain and wants to go to India. Navdeep also tries to move with her, but is caught with the customs at airport . So he asks NTR to keep a watch on her.

After leaving Spain, Kajal comes to India, her long time one side lover Ajay tires and he wants to throw acid on her, NTR saves her. Because of this  she becomes close to NTR and he lives in Kajal house. But knowing how cruel Ajay reacts when Kajal is getting married? She admires NTR, but wants to stick to parents Word. Kajal parents finds Siddarth. Meanwhile NTR feelings for Kajal will increase and he also falls in love with her. How to make Kajal father understand their love is remaining story.

Navdeep and his buddies enters, as he comes to know about NTR-Kajal marriage and also comes to know NTR is responsible for his capture at airport and for their Mafia downfall. After, NTR cop and the film heads to Climax. NTR kills Navdeep. Story ends

While returning from Spain customs officers arrest Navdeep and NTR follows Kajal and saves her from an acid attack and they both fall in love after couple of scenes. Well, this is not regarding a movie proposal because Bandla Ganesh Babu always has that intimacy to bag the dates of Power Star whenever he likes and pawan kalyan too is enough affectionate towards the Mighty Producer. The gossip is related to Pawan's rejection of proposal from Ganesh to attend the audio release of 'Baadshah.' If NTR was the reason for Balakrishna not to receive any such invitation, it is Pawan himself said a no to Ganesh when  later requested the former's presence. If NTR Fans alone made it to completely fill the open ground at Rama Naidu Studios, we can expect on what would happen if Pawan Fans too attend the same function. Ofcourse, when pawan kalyan isn't so excited to attend his own audio functions, there is no way he can trouble his Fans for other heroes and that too for a Mass Hero like Tarak who is already on stage. Situation could have been more and more chaotic, if Pawan made it to the occasion but he took a right decision saving the day for many Fans.

It is well aware that Maheshbabu and Sreenu Vaitla paired up for ‘Dookudu’ and the film received many awards and rewards recently. The same combination is going to repeat once again for 14 Reels Entertainment of Ram Achanta, Gopinath Achanta and Anil Sunkara. The story discussions for their next film are going on regularly. It may be mentioned here that Sreenu Vaitla is known for giving more scope for entertainment and when the story is being penned for Maheshbabu, it should be an action entertainer on the lines of Dookudu. It is learnt that they both had accepted a storyline which had all the elements like action, entertainment and sentiment. The script work is also said to be complete. The producers are of the opinion that the film would be a bit above to their earlier film ‘Dookudu’. The story had also got a tentative title as ‘Aagadu’. Will Ram Charan be a ‘Toofan’?

It is well aware that Ram Charan is playing the lead role in the remake of ‘Zanjeer’. He is making his debut as hero in Bollywood with that film. The film is being made as a bilingual and the Priyanka Chopra is playing the heroine in both the versions, Telugu and Hindi. Long ago, the film was remade in Telugu as ‘Nippulanti Manishi’ with NT Rama Rao and Satyanarayana in the lead roles. Now also the other key role in the film is played by Srihari. Several titles for the Telugu version were gossiped in the media and very recently, the media reported that the Mega family members are opting for Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster ‘Jwala’ as the title of the film. However, the latest title that is appearing in the media is ‘Toophan’. Let us see the film makers and the director would declare at least this title now. The title in question ‘Toofan’ is also being considered for Pawan Kalyan’s film under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. The Hindi version of the film is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia, while the Telugu version is bieng looked after by Yogi of Chintakayala Ravi-fame. Devisri Prasad is scoring tunes for the movie.

Bahubali to go to sets on April 15

Some time ago, SS Chatrapati gave a blockbuster in the form of ‘Chatrapati’ to Prabhas. That film remained a biggest hit film in the entire career for Prabhas. Again the same director is trying to mould Prabhas as ‘Bahubali’ now. Anushka was selected to play opposite Prabhas in the famale lead, while Rana Daggubati would play key negative role in the movie. Another heroine is yet to be selected for the movie. The film is presented by K Raghavendra Rao while it is being produced by Shobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni on the banner of Arka Media Works. As part of pre-production works, Prabhas, Rana and Anushka were given training in sword fighting and other such martial arts. As per the latest information available from the Film Nagar sources, the film is  most likely to go sets from April 15. The film-makers are planning to produce the film as a trilingual, i.e., in Telugu Tamil and Hindi languages. MM Keeravani would provide the musical support for the movie.

The story of Back Bench Student revolves around Karthik, Priyanka and Chaitra. Karthik (Mahat Raghavendra) is a careless Engineering student, who is least bothered about his studies the result of which is 16 backlogs. He is love with his classmate Priyanka (Archana Kavi), who splits from him and leaves for USA to pursue MS. The hell breaks loose when his parents (Sharath Babu and Pragathi) come to know about the backlogs. While he is in search of a job to support himself, he hooks up with Chitra (Piaa Bajpayee). Meanwhile, Priyanka comes back from the US in search of Karthik. What happens next will form the rest of the story?

he youth-centric Telugu movies like Mem Vayasuku Vacham, Oka Romantic Crime Katha, Ee Rojullo, which dealt with the stories of students, have got good opening and had gained instant success. Taking a cue from it, debutant director Venkatapathy Raju, who has earlier worked with Nagesh Kukunoor and Neelakanta, has come up with a youthful entertainer 3G Love, which is a good time-pass film. The movie 3G Love is a romance drama with lot of fun and comedy to lure the youth. The actors' performances, Venkatapathy's screenplay, dialogues and narration, Shekar Chandra's melodious music, Sai Sri Ram's cinematography and beautiful locales are the highlights of the movie. Gone are the days, when people used to sacrifice everything for love. With the advancement of technology, this attitude towards love has completely changed. The hi-tech generation is always hooked to texting, Facebook and communicating with the help of latest gadget with less emphasis on emotions, they have clear idea about where they are heading towards. So love is secondary for 3G people. Especially, the youth in the age group between 18 and 21 have developed callous attitude towards love. It is easy for them to change partners like a pair of jeans. They lack seriousness and feel love is replaceable, behave in a detached manner. The director has tried to show how these most advanced and matured guys suffer from an emotional void in the long run. Dr. Rajasekhar who has been in very poor form in the recent past has donned khakhi uniform for the nth time in this film. His wife Jeevitha wielded megaphone for this cop drama which has very little to offer.

What is it about?

Mahankali (Rajasekhar) is a sincere and strict police officer and aims to bring down mafia don Arshad (Pradeep Rawat). But he ends up as his associate and starts working for him by taking orders. How Mahankali turns against Arshad and what he does is the remaining story.

Performances:

Rajasekhar is fine as a sincere cop. This character is cakewalk for him. He might be the actor who has done this role more than any other actor in history. Despite doing that many times, Rajasekhar didn't get bored of it and gave his best shot. To cut things short he is the only saving grace for this rotten cop drama. Madhurima is just okay. Pradeep Rawat is routine and so are Vinod Kumar and Jeeva. There are many actors in this movie and surprisingly there is no trace of single comedian in it.

On the Technical Front:

Jeevitha failed as a director in all the departments. She couldn't get the best out of her technicians too. Dialogue is cliched and cinematography is pathetic. Music by Chinna is loud and unbearable. Editing and Art departments are non existent. Don't talk about production 'values' please! Jeevitha proved that direction is not her cup of tea yet again. These movies need a capable director to make audiences sit till the end. Asking her to direct this movie is the biggest blunder that Rajasekhar did.

Analysis:

Mahankali is as old as Rajasekhar. He has been doing films with same theme from ages. Blame it on Ankusam! Rajasekhar tried to get out of the shell by choosing a cop role. Unfortunately he couldn't help this film from being a disaster. There are some nice moments in the first half and credit goes to the actor.

Things have gone haywire in second hour and the director had no clue about what to do. She has simply put all the scenes together and waited for the end credits to roll on. Not a single scene in the second hour is worth watching. Climax hits final nail in the coffin.

Except for Rajasekhar and few scenes in the first half Mahankali is a total let down. It may appeal to audiences who look for C grade mass movies. Rest can safely stay away from this endless torture.

Lakshmi Manchu's latest production, Gundello Godari, in which she has also played one of the leads, is out in theaters now. Set in a backdrop of 1986 floods of East Godavari, this film is a love story with nostalgic appeal.

What is it about?

Chitra (Lakshmi) gets married to Malli (Aadi), fisherman. On the very night of their marriage their village is flooded and they had to fight for survival. Malli narrates about his past to Chitra and tells about the girl Sarala (Taapsee) and his experiences with her. Chitra too has a past. She was madly in love with Suri (Sundeep Kishan), but loses him in an unfortunate situation.

Performances:

Aadi is very good in the role of a fisherman. His raw portrayal of the character is wonderful. He can do justice to such rustic roles. Sundeep Kishan is alright in his role which doesn't have much to boast of. Lakshmi Manchu walks away with laurels. She has given a brilliant performance as the damsel in distress. Her performance in the scene where she confronts Sundeep Kishan at a marriage is very impressive. Taapsee did fine in a bold role. Ravibabu's performance as evil man is ordinary. There is nothing much to tell about other supporting cast.

On the Technical Front:

Cinematography is good and music is just average. Ilayaraja's background score is up to the mark but his songs aren't inspiring enough. Editing is alright and the graphics work is fine. Director has spark in him, but he should have paid proper attention to the script. His writing in the second hour marred the chances of Gundello Godari to be a decent film.

Analysis:

Gundello Godari works in parts. There are some good scenes that would give a nice feel to the audiences. But there are too many ups and downs in the narration. The two stories aren't properly weaved around the floods backdrop. The narration gets flat and dull in the second half. Director has tried tad too much to work out sentiment with Lakshmi's character. But the characters are not developed properly and scenes aren't conceived properly. That didn't work in favor of the film.

First half is better compared to the second half. First thirty minutes of the film is impressive with smooth narration. Director lost grip over the narrative after sometime and couldn't pull up the strings later. Boring second half makes the audiences wait for the end credits. An interesting finale could have lifted up the spirits, but the director didn't bother too much about it.

Gundello Godari might appeal to certain section of audience who would love to watch senti-dramas. Others may wait for home edition as there is nothing exciting about this film to watch it in theaters.
